Storage

Your cloud storage holds everything you upload and everything you generate. Each plan includes a storage quota — a hard limit, not a metered charge. Storage never costs credits.

What counts

At the limit

When you reach your quota, new uploads and imports pause — the app will tell you storage is full. Two ways out:

  • Delete files in Settings → Storage, which shows your usage meter and every stored file with one-click delete. Freed space counts immediately.
  • Upgrade your plan for a bigger quota.

Nothing else stops: your existing files stay safe and playable, editing and export keep working, and results you generate always save — a generation you've paid credits for never fails because storage is full. If generations nudge you past the limit, you just can't upload anything new until you're back under.

Freeing space

Settings → Storage lists everything you store — uploads and generated results, newest first — with sizes and a delete button. Deleting from the Library works too; either way the space stops counting immediately.

Cloud storage vs. local caches

The same Settings → Storage page also manages the local caches Corte keeps in your browser for smooth playback — previews, waveforms, and thumbnails — plus the on-device media search index. Clearing them frees disk space on your machine and costs nothing; the app rebuilds them as you work. Clearing local caches has no effect on your cloud storage usage. If playback is acting up, clearing these caches is a good first move — see Playback & performance.
