Editor overview
Open any cut and you land in the editor. Four panels do the work, and the rail on the left holds the menus and quick actions that drive everything else.

The panels
- Media panel (⌘0) — every file in the project: uploads, generated media, and anything pulled from your Library or integrations. Drag from here to the timeline.
- Preview — plays the timeline at the project's aspect ratio and frame rate. Captions, transforms, and color render exactly as they'll export.
- Inspector (⌥⌘0) — properties of the selected clip: timing, speed, volume, opacity, transform, plus color and effects.
- Agent panel (⌥⌘A) — the AI editing agent, a chat that edits the timeline with you.
The side rail
The rail's File, Edit, and View menus mirror a desktop editor:
| Menu | Highlights |
|---|---|
| File | New ⌘N, Open… ⌘O, Save ⌘S, Import Media… ⌘I, Export… ⌘E |
| Edit | Undo/Redo, Cut/Copy/Paste, Split at Playhead ⌘K, Trim Start Q / End W, Ripple Delete ⇧⌫, Select Forward A / ⇧A |
| View | Toggle panels, switch layouts, Enter Full Screen ⌘F |
Below the menus sit one-click quick actions: Media, Inspect, Agent, Generate, Share (invite project members), and Export. At the bottom, the ? button opens keyboard shortcuts and feedback.
Layouts
Three presets rearrange the panels for the job at hand:
- Default (⌘1) — balanced editing layout.
- Media (⌘2) — a bigger media panel for sorting footage.
- Vertical (⌘3) — a tall preview for 9:16 social work.
Nothing to save
The editor autosaves continuously and syncs your project to the cloud while you're signed in. Close the tab mid-edit; the cut is exactly where you left it on any machine.
