Exporting
Press ⌘E, or click Export in the rail. Exporting is free on every plan, and Corte never watermarks your video.
Video formats
- H.264 — the compatible default; plays everywhere.
- H.265 — smaller files at the same quality; ideal for delivery targets that accept it.
Resolution and frame rate come from the project settings (visible in the preview header; changeable in project settings or by asking the agent). Rendering happens in your browser — your footage doesn't round-trip through a render farm, and export speed scales with your machine.
Interchange formats
Finishing elsewhere? Export the edit instead of a file:
- FCPXML — opens your cut in Final Cut Pro.
- XML — opens it in DaVinci Resolve.
Cuts, timing, and structure carry over so the conform starts from your edit, not from zero.
Managing exports
Past exports are listed in the export dialog — re-download a finished render or clean up old ones. The agent can run and manage exports too ("export this at 1080p and again at 9:16" is two renders, one sentence).
:::warning Export looks stuck? Long timelines at high resolution are heavy renders for a browser tab. Keep the tab foregrounded, and see Playback & performance if a render fails. :::
