Importing media

Press ⌘I (or File → Import Media…) from anywhere in the editor. You can also drop files straight onto the Media panel.

The media picker. Connected integrations appear as extra tabs next to Upload and Library.

Where media can come from

  • Upload — drag and drop, or browse for files on your computer. Video, audio, and images all land in the project's Media panel.
  • Library — everything you've generated in Studio or through the agent, across all your projects, plus files you've uploaded before.
  • Integrations — if you've connected Shopify, Squarespace, or Dropbox, each shows up as its own tab. Pick a product photo from your store and it's imported like any other file — no downloading and re-uploading.

What happens on import

Imported files are staged to Corte's cloud storage, so the same project opens with its media intact on any machine and for every project member. Storage counts toward your plan's allowance — see Storage.

In the Media panel you can rename files, group them into folders, and delete what you don't need. The AI agent can do the same on request — "put all the drone shots in a folder" works.

:::tip No footage yet? Generate it. The Generate quick action in the rail creates image, video, or audio without leaving the editor, and results import automatically. See Generating videos. :::
