Multicam editing

Shot an interview, a podcast, or an event on more than one camera? Multicam turns the angles into a single source you cut from, instead of juggling stacked tracks by hand.

Create a multicam

  1. Import every angle into the project.
  2. Create a multicam group from the clips. Corte auto-syncs the angles by their audio — no clapper or timecode needed, just overlapping sound.
  3. The group lands on the timeline as one multicam clip.

Switch angles

With the multicam clip selected, switch the active camera wherever the playhead sits. Each switch becomes a cut; the underlying sync never drifts. Trim, retime, and grade the result like any other clip — everything from timeline editing applies.

Where it shines

  • Podcasts & interviews — wide plus close-ups, cut to whoever's talking.
  • Events & performances — several roaming cameras, one clean line cut.
  • Product demos — screen capture synced against the presenter camera.
