Multicam editing
Shot an interview, a podcast, or an event on more than one camera? Multicam turns the angles into a single source you cut from, instead of juggling stacked tracks by hand.
Create a multicam
- Import every angle into the project.
- Create a multicam group from the clips. Corte auto-syncs the angles by their audio — no clapper or timecode needed, just overlapping sound.
- The group lands on the timeline as one multicam clip.
Switch angles
With the multicam clip selected, switch the active camera wherever the playhead sits. Each switch becomes a cut; the underlying sync never drifts. Trim, retime, and grade the result like any other clip — everything from timeline editing applies.
Where it shines
- Podcasts & interviews — wide plus close-ups, cut to whoever's talking.
- Events & performances — several roaming cameras, one clean line cut.
- Product demos — screen capture synced against the presenter camera.
