Creating your account

Corte runs entirely in the browser at app.corte.so. The app requires an account: after a brief loading splash you'll see the sign-in screen, and everything past it — your cuts, generations, and settings — is tied to you.

Sign up​

  1. Go to app.corte.so.
  2. Click Create an account below the sign-in form.
  3. Enter your email and a password. Your name is optional — it's used for things like project invites, and you can leave it blank.
  4. Click Create account.

You'll land straight in the app, and we'll email you a confirmation link. Click it to collect your 50 free credits — until you do, AI features (generation, the agent, transcription, workflows) stay paused, and the banner at the top of the app can send the email again. There's no card required and no trial clock — the free credits don't expire, and the editor itself is free to use forever.

Continue with Google​

If you'd rather not manage another password, click Continue with Google on the sign-in screen and pick your Google account. Google has already confirmed your address, so the 50 credits are there immediately — no verification email to wait for. You get the same account either way — Corte only reads your email address, name, and profile picture, and never gets access to your Gmail or Drive.

Two details worth knowing:

  • If you already have a Corte account with that email, Google sign-in attaches to it rather than making a second one. Your existing password keeps working, so you can use either method from then on.
  • If you signed up with Google and later want a password too, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen. The emailed link lets you set one for the first time.

Sign in and out​

  • Sign in — enter your email and password at app.corte.so, or use Continue with Google. Your session persists across visits on the same browser, so you won't be asked every time.
  • Sign out — open Settings → Account (click your avatar at the bottom of the left rail, then Settings) and click Sign out.
