Keyboard shortcuts
The Cut Editor is built to be driven from the keyboard. Press ? inside the editor (or use the rail's ? help button → Keyboard Shortcuts) to see this list in-app.
On Windows and Linux, read ⌘ as Ctrl and ⌥ as Alt.
File
| Command | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| New cut | ⌘N |
| Open… | ⌘O |
| Save | ⌘S |
| Import media… | ⌘I |
| Export… | ⌘E |
Corte autosaves continuously — ⌘S exists for peace of mind, not necessity.
Editing
| Command | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Undo | ⌘Z |
| Redo | ⇧⌘Z |
| Cut / Copy / Paste | ⌘X / ⌘C / ⌘V |
| Select forward on track | A |
| Select forward on all tracks | ⇧A |
| Split at playhead | ⌘K |
| Trim start to playhead | Q |
| Trim end to playhead | W |
| Delete | ⌫ |

Q, W, and ⌘K together cover most rough cutting: park the playhead, split, and trim to it. See Timeline editing for how these fit a real edit.
